Tapan Chatterjee is a well known Delhi based Abbrittikar for recitation of Bengali poems. His earlier recitations, available in the YouTube, are being widely viewed and appreciated . He also performs Shrutinatak (radio drama) and Strotrapath. He was interviewed live on facebook by Sonar Tori-an audio-visual channel in Delhi engaged in extending coverage of cultural and social events. In this programme, he was at his best in the recitation of few poems. Tapan Chatterjee is now reciting Bangla Kobita MEGHNADBADH KABYA (Pratham Angsha) written by Michael Madhusudan Dutta which we expect to evoke good response from the viewers. He has been writing poems and stories. These are published in different magazines. He has published a poetry book NIRJHAR. Tapan Chatterjee is BE (Electrical), MBA and obtained a Certificate in Russian Language. He had an illustrious career of a few decades after joining Central Power Engineering Service, (CPES, Group-A) by successfully competing the Engineering Services Examination of UPSC. He retired as Chief Engineer from Central Electricity Authority in 2009. Thereafter, he worked for some period as Consultant in Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission and then he joined as Member in Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission in Guwahati. He retired from AERC in 2014. He has visited USA, Canada, Germany, UK, France and entire Western Europe a number of times on official tours. He has achieved unique distinction for his contribution in his field of profession in Engineering and Quasi-Judicial roles and also in the areas of his passion in literature and performing art.
