Today I'm recreating my favorite smell into a cocktail. I always dreamed that fresh pipe tobacco would taste as good as it smells but unfortunately it is not the case ... because obviously it is not edible HAHA! Then for more flavors, I added east india solera sherry, which is a Spanish fortified wine with dried raisin notes which for me evokes the fresh tobacco and a little bit of Anche chile liqueur for more spices and sugar. Then to finish, a few dashes of coffee and cherry bitters for an aditionnal complexity of flavors and more bitter spices and ripped fruit flavors. I was wondering how to recreate smell in a cocktail... I made it! Pipe tobacco Manhattan cocktail recipe 1 oz Homemade spiced rum* 1 oz Bourbon 0.5 oz East India Solerra Sherr 0.25 oz Ancho Reyes Chile liqueur 5 Dasehs Honest John Coffee Cherry bitters 1 Barspoon simple syrup *for the homemade spiced rum, refer to the video Stir all ingredients over ice and strain over clear ice cube in your favorite cocktail coupe.
