When Knobs and I were first talking about this project back in April / May, we had a moment where we discussed how much can come from a “loop”. I think of the right “loop” as a seed. The seed can become a bud, and eventually a tree. And that tree can house birds, squirrels, countless other little creatures. Knobs’ moment of inspiration did exactly that for us. Brought John-Robert, Alessia Cara, Zack Sekoff, and myself all together. And, as we debuted the night of my album release, an incredible performance by one of the song’s songwriters, the brilliant Jensen McCrae.
