I've been experimenting with dual extrusion in clay printing for the last could of years and more recently have become very interested in a kind of "woven" approach where individual tool paths are laid across one another to make a fine pattern and textile-like surface. This could be interesting aesthetically but also could be used in a scenario where one of the materials printed is combustible or dissolvable in order to create open spaces or lattices within a print. This printer has two independent Z axes, allowing minute adjustments between the height of each nozzle for greater precision in calibration This is a very small print, using two 1mm print nozzles at 0.5mm layer heights. So while it certainly isn't a perfect print, it's defects may appear magnified in the video. .
