Making: Knife Handle from Stabilized Wood and Resin

In this video I make a #knife handle. I got the blade as a gift, it required only minor beauty treatments. I made a new satin because I did not like the machine finish of the blade and I lined up a few places. The handle was made of apple #wood, which I dyed and stabilized in #resin. As a vacuum chamber for stabilization I used a 5L jar and an old compressor from the fridge as a vacuum pump. While shaping the handle, I saw a fairly large hole in the wood. I filled the hole and cracks with polyester resin dyed with unwanted eye shadow of my wife. It came out quite well, the color perfectly matches to the spacer made of denim under the #brass guard.
