Civil works have officially commenced along Blackfellow Creek, marking a significant step towards safeguarding farmland and Mount Sylvia Road from severe flooding impacts. In partnership with Resilient Rivers SEQ, this $1.8M rehabilitation project will stabilise creekbanks, reduce erosion and bolster flood resilience for Mount Sylvia and its surroundings. Over the next six months, approximately 12,000 tonnes of rock and 10,000 native trees and shrubs will be installed and planted across the three priority sites.
