Lesion-Sympton Mapping Workshop 1 PLEASE NOTE: Due to an issue during recording, Workshop 1 is not as clear as Workshop 2 or 3. Link to slides and workshop materials: https://mrri.org/lesion-symptom-mappi... Lesion-symptom mapping is a powerful technique that allows researchers to identify relationships between behavioral impairments and damaged brain regions (e.g., lesions to particular locations in the brain following a stroke). This workshop is designed to provide an tutorial of how to perform this method. In this first session we begin with an overview of the pre-processing steps leading up to performing a lesion-symptom mapping analysis, including how to draw lesion maps. We also introduce some of the software tools that we will be using in later portions of the workshop, particularly MRIcron and the SPM toolbox in Matlab. Finally, we discuss basic lesion-symptom mapping analyses such as overlap and subtraction maps, as well as how to perform a basic voxel-based lesion-symptom mapping analysis – the primary analysis method used prior to 2014. Organizer: Aaron L. Wong, PhD Speakers: Frank Garcea, PhD, Harrison Stoll, and Austin Wild
