For a change from just car work... this is the construction of my metal shed for storing large car parts and stuff. Funny how a 10x14 ft Arrow (Lexingron) shed turned out to be an actual size of 10x13 ft. See the extra foot of floor I constructed in the video at the front of the shed. This video was recorded in hyper-speed mode. The actual construction of the shed took about 2-1/2 days, though the floor and leveling the soil (well, mostly leveling) took about a week of on and off times. I lapped the redwood every 2 ft and used only 5/8" plywood on top for flooring because of the increased cost of 3/4" ply. It seems quite sturdy and has been standing for a couple of years now with no evidence of change in structure or general appearance. I just found this video in and enjoyed it so I thought I'd share with my subscribers... more to come. I live in So. Cal. so the weather is kind to us, except the sun beats down a lot making the inside of the shed quite warm. Note that ripples in the sides and mis-alignment in the front roof corner (left side as you face the door), took extra time in the video. This was simply from an unlevel floor causing a bit of buckling of the roof panels until I re-drilled the holes. I like the strength and height of this shed better than my adjacent one which is a smaller version (8x10) which I gave to my son to use. And even at 10x13, it can hold a lot of stuff. If you can find it on sale, its worthwhile, but beware that the floor will cost as much as the shed itself, esp. if you want it to last in all kinds of weather and lifted off the dirt. Music used for the background (& to make viewing interesting) is by Vivaldi.
