The Corner Shop, located in Bramwell, West Virginia, is housed in the Bryant Pharmacy Building which dates to 1892. It was originally a drug store; dry goods store and general mercantile. It is said it was the 3rd store in the U.S. to sale Chanel #5. As the influence of the coal industry ebbed in Bramwell, many of the buildings were repurposed or remodeled. However, the corner store has been restored with a focus on its original architectural elements, vintage counter and period décor. The restoration began in the late 1990s and carried into the early 2000s and of includes the original soda fountain. The building has been restored much in the style of a 1950s diner. The menu includes a variety of burgers, including the Chubby Checker, John Cash, James Dean, The Duke, The Elvis Mickey Rooney and Beach Boys Burger and Porky Pig burgers. There are a Happy Days Hot Dog and a WV Mountaineer Pepperoni Roll. The menu includes salads as well as a variety of fries, slaw, onion rings and mac-n-cheese. The main attractions are the ice cream floats and milk shakes. The fountain drinks include Banana Daiquiri, Strawberry Colada and Manic Madness. The Classic Root Beer float is on the menu, as well as Creamcicle, Green River, Black Cow, Brown Cow, Purple Cow and Orange Cow as well as and Hawaiian Aloha. Over a dozen ice cream flavors, dry toppings and wet toppings are available. Shake flavors include Almond Joy, Peanut Butter Cup and others. Hot sundaes and banana splits round out the menu.
