Match Vlog- Kidsgrove 0-1 Stafford Rangers! *Back to winning ways! In the search of 3 points Stafford Rangers finally got back to winning ways away at Kidsgrove in the A34 derby ending five games without a victory. Didn’t think there was much between either side and not many chances created. Don’t recall a shot on target first half but both teams got in good positions to score and went in at the break goalless. We had an opportunity from Wara which was a header but went straight into the keeper hands. Losing Mason Rees after just a couple of minutes was a blow as he changed the game for Stafford even though we lost midweek but Joe Thomas was introduced and made a positive impact been recovering from an injury which kept him out all pre-season and most of this season so far. Dan Cockerline wasn’t available either due to a recent hamstring injury. Second half the tempo was stepped up from both sides but nothing really creative to get too excited about. From what I saw Kidsgrove had one shot on target and Stafford had two probably the main occasion during the game where both keepers were forced into making a proper save. Stafford took the lead in the 80th minute as Thomas had a great run into the box to find Kaiman Anderson who poked the ball past the keeper. First goal Kaiman has scored again since pre-season. This was a much needed 3 points what a way to bounce back from defeat and we got a clean sheet for once. Not a great game of football really quite scrappy but we fought for everything against a physical side with some big bodies in there. Hopefully this is the Rangers side under Kitch we see playing as a team more often like when he returned in January last season. Great following again even though it’s just up the A34 and a good atmosphere from both sets of fans. Well done lads 🙌 Onto Newcastle at home next week. Thank you for watching! UTB 🖤🤍
