British MP urges politicians and journalists to stop ‘fanning the flames’ of hatred against Muslims

Speaking in the House of Commons on Wednesday, British MP Imran Hussain urged politicians and journalists to “stop fanning the flames” of anti-Muslim hatred, following the recent targeting of the Manchester Central Mosque. On Tuesday evening, police arrested a man while searching for another suspect who allegedly entered the mosque in central Manchester carrying weapons. According to the mosque’s statement, the two men entered the premises during late evening prayers. Worshippers confronted one of the men after discovering he was carrying a large bag containing an axe, knife, and hammer. Support stories that matter.
