The Nusselt number (Nu) is a dimensionless parameter that represents the ratio of convective to conductive heat transfer across a fluid boundary. It signifies the enhanced heat transfer due to fluid motion compared to stagnant conduction. A higher (Nu) indicates more efficient convection; Nu=1 represents pure conduction.  In case of fully developed laminar flow in flow through Pipes i.e. Re less than 2000; (i) For constant heat flux condition, Nu = 4.36 (ii) For constant wall temp. condition, Nu = 3.66
