Living in Isaan Thailand for 22 years has taught me one thing — a green light doesn’t always mean safe when riding a motorbike. Living in Thailand, especially in Isaan, you quickly learn that traffic rules can be a little different. In this video I share the story of a motorbike accident that I almost didn't walk away from at a busy junction and why green lights in Thailand don’t always mean it’s safe to go. While walking through Khon Kaen and talking about life in Thailand, I stop for food, chat with locals, and show a little of everyday life in this part of Isaan. Along the way I unexpectedly end up inside a busy recycling centre where I talk with the owner and several recyclers about their work and daily life.
