https://www.triniteq.com - Triniteq's PowerEPOS tutorial teaches viewers how to close off your shift or end-of-day, including the cash declaration, using a Z report on a single POS terminal. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Video Transcription: In this video, we’ll walk you through the steps to close off your shift or end-of-day using a Z report on a single POS terminal. A Z report is typically run at the end of a shift or business day. It provides a complete summary of all transactions and resets the totals to zero, helping to track daily performance and manage financial records. At the end of our shift or day, we start by logging into our POS system. Next, we click on ‘Reports,’ and select ‘Count Cashdrawer.’ Then, choose ‘Cash’ and tap on ‘Enter Count.’ We enter the total amount of cash in the drawer. If this includes the float, make sure to select ‘Yes’ here. By selecting ‘Yes,’ the POS will automatically subtract the float, giving you the correct cash declaration. We review the totals, then click the green tick to confirm. Now, let’s verify our totals by generating an X report. We go to ‘Reports,’ then ‘X and Z Reports,’ and review our payment totals, including cash. If there’s a variance, it will be shown here, and we may need to recount the cash to verify the total. If a correction is needed, we go back to ‘Reports,’ select ‘Count Cashdrawer,’ then press the minus button. We add the previously declared amount to bring it back to zero and click the green tick to save. Now, we re-enter the correct cash amount, save it, and return to our X report to ensure that the declared amount matches and any variance is resolved. Once everything matches up, we finalise our Z report and print it. Now our shift or day is successfully closed off! Thanks for watching!
