Under five minutes Mike covers pest prevention. It is incredibly important to houseplant parents and gardeners alike. Everything we grow has something that will eat or destroy it, but there are ways to prevent that the best we can! Mike goes over everything from where we get the supplies, what they are and what it does in this video. Walmart storefront affiliate links: Bonide 16 oz. Using this mix weekly or bi-weekly majorly reduces the chances of pests or them sticking around for very long. Aphids are a different story and we're currently seeing them on Colocasia's now. In the video mike demonstrates how to clean plants and instantly kill aphids with a cotton swab or cotton round and 70% isopropyl. If you have more questions, please let us know we would love to talk about this more to help you more or learn if there is something we don't know! We're super excited for the next video. We were invited to Bob's Garden Center to talk about Winter Plant Care, so that will be the next video in the coming days this week! In our last video Mike repotted the Begonia Ginny Galaxy from the fluval stratum and pon mix it came in, to a 3-inch net pot with Leca in a cup from target. Mike just filmed a update video today along with repotting the begonia back into just pon with a cute little self-watering pot! Theres a few videos filmed already, so that might not be up for a month or two. At that point we will make sure to add on a growth update to get the most recent growth results! We have tons to do to get the new content out, but we are making it a goal to get one video out every week starting this Thursday. Longform content on plant care, tutorials, repotting, tours in NJ, semi-hydroponics, collections, experiments, and more will be uploaded every Thursday! Matt and Mike
