This video demonstrate Hysteroscopic Instruments Demonstration Lecture by Dr R K Mishra at World Laparoscopy Hospital. Understanding hysteroscopic instrument is essential to perform safe laparoscopy. Hysteroscopy can be defined as the examination of the uterine cavity with an endoscope inserted through the cervix with the purpose of diagnosis or treatment of possible abnormalities.[1][2] In the recent years, developments in the medical technology made it possible to perform a comprehensive examination of uterine cavity without preliminary cervix dilation and use of anaesthesia, thus greatly expanding the range of available hysteroscopic procedures [1]. Modern equipment allows performing of outpatient hysteroscopy, also known as office hysteroscopy, which is not limited to diagnosis and includes treatment of minor pathologies. This, however, doesn't replace hysteroscopic surgery whose objective is treating major uterine abnormalities in the operating room.
