NOTE: I did upload these races in 2013, but I decided to upload this season with all 4 motos in one for fun. This is round 6 of the 2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship from Red Bud Track n’ Trail in Buchanan, MI. Returning contenders like 450cc rookies Jake Weimer, Christophe Pourcel, and Trey Canard, Ryan Villopoto, Josh Grant, 450cc sophomores Justin Brayton and Brett Metcalfe, 2009 champ Chad Reed, Andrew Short, Mike Alessi, Michael Byrne, Davi Millsaps, and defending champ (and 450cc sophomore) Ryan Dungey battle it out for the 2011 Lucas Oil 450cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship. After being released from Monster Kawasaki in late 2010, and all the factory slots taken for the year, Chad Reed decides to dig into his own pockets and form his own team of TwoTwo Motorsports Honda, which (after a slow beginning in Supercross) christens a spark in Reed's confidence and season for almost all of 2011. Defending 250cc Motocross champ Trey Canard returns from his leg injury before the Seattle Supercross and makes his 450cc Motocross debut. This race is well known for Chad Reed's terrifying crash (which was later dubbed "The Crash Seen 'Round The World") that sends him high in the sky on lap #1 of 450cc moto #2; amazingly enough, he returns to the race and fights back for a very respectable 14th place -- 5th overall (1-14), but Reed's dream season of a possible 2nd 450cc Motocross title in 3 years begins to crumble to pieces, which begins the start of a two-man battle between 2 Ryans -- Villopoto and Dungey; later in the week, Reed's crash was later seen on Yahoo! and local sports newscasts around the world. The jump where Chad got ejected off his Honda was later dubbed the "Chad-a-pult." Returning contenders like 250cc rookie Eli Tomac, Tyla Rattray, Ryan Morais, Kyle Cunningham, Cole Seely, current SX Lites West champ Broc Tickle, Wil Hahn, current SX Lites East champ (and 250cc sophomore) Justin Barcia, Dean Wilson, Blake Baggett, Ryan Sipes, Nico Izzi, Martin Davalos, South African transplant Gareth Swanepoel, French transplant Marvin Musquin, and others battle it out for the 2011 Lucas Oil 250cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship. This series is dominated by Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders Dean Wilson, Blake Baggett, and Tyla Rattray. Enjoy.
