Playing EA Sports WRC for the first time | First Impressions on desc.

It's been a year since Codemasters' latest rallying game was released but it's only yesterday that I was able to get my hands on it via Xbox Game Pass, because, game prices. Here's what I think about this game (spoiler, I'm not a big fan of it). It's actually really mediocre considering how awfully it runs on my pc, which has the following specs: Intel Core i5-11400H @ 2.7 GHz 2TB SAMSUNG PM9A1 M.2 SSD PCIe 4.0 x4 (7000 MB/s reading, 5100 MB/s writing speed) 32GB DDR4 1.2V 3200MHz SODIMM nVIDIA® GeForce® RTX3050 TI Max-Performance 4GB GDDR6 128-Bit @ 85W I'm not claiming I have the beefiest PC out there but this game should've been capable of running on 1080p60fps on medium-high settings. To think I could play DiRT 3 (a 2012 game that was developed and published by Codemasters themselves) on my grandma's pc from 2001 fine enough but have a miserable time with this game on a pc I bought four years ago is infuriating. This recording was, in fact, recorded with medium-low settings and my pc still couldn't maintain a consistent 60 FPS, that was even worse when I was trying to record my replay, so I had to limit OBS' FPS output to 30. DLSS, nVIDIA Reflex and all that kind of AI upscaling still aren't enough to run a game that was developed in an older version of Unreal Engine. It's not even a good-looking game either, DiRT Rally titles are far more pleasant to look at. Compared to DiRT Rally and Rally 2.0, the menus are clunky and needlessly complicated as well.
