Is it possible to cure Choledocholithiasis without surgery in a geriatric woman? - Dr. Ravindra B S

Choledocholithiasis people have to understand between two things. Gall stone is different, Choledocholithiasis is different. Gall stone means it is stones in the gall bladder and Choledocholithiasis means it is stones in the liver tube or what we call as the bile tube or bile duct. In that scenario never we will advice surgery. Especially in old people we don’t advice surgery. What we do is a procedure called ERCP; it is an endoscopic procedure, where in we pass the endoscope into the intestine, we go to the liver tube and then we pass a wire and then we make a small cut into the liver tube opening and remove all the stones and then we place a stent and usually that takes care of the problem.
