Dalhousie, a popular town in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, spread over five hills near Dhauladhar mountain range. The city holds the colonial style architecture of 1800's. It is also known for its panaromic view of Ravi River. Dainkund peak is the highest point that leads to Pholani Devi Temple. The Main attraction of the city is Khajjiar, the valley surrounded by lush green deodar forests. Other attractions are Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, Panchpula and Saatdhara waterfall. Dalhousie is sunset city, generally sunrise does hide in mountains. You must take a walk to Gandhi Chowk (also the Mall Road of Dalhousie) during evening hours for street food, shopping and lively ambiance. Also don't forget to visit the famous St. John's Church at Gandhi Chowk. Later you can also visit the Indo Tibetan Market for more shopping. Best time to visit Dalhousie is from March to July but if you want to experience heavy snowfall, then you should visit from December to February.
