Urgency and Urge Incontinence is when you feel that sudden need to urinate and you feel like you have to get to the washroom NOW. With urgency, you make it to the washroom without leaks, whereas urge incontinence you typically have a leak before getting there. Typically there is a trigger, like putting your key in the door when you get home, running water or simply feeling like you cannot get to a washroom like at the movies or on a plane. Tips for Urgency and Urge Incontinence; 1. Connect with your breath and pelvic floor 2. STOP and RELAX, use your pelvic floor connection to overcome the bladder signals to the brain 3.
