FASTEST & EASIEST Route To Conquer Scafell Pike

SCAFELL PIKE the QUICKEST and EASIEST route 👉 More LAKE DISTRICT walks    • The Lake District: Central Fells   The Hollow Stones route is the quickest and easiest way to ascent Scafell Pike. Starting in Wasdale Head car park we head up the valley on a stable well constructed path. This becomes steeper once the bridges over the gill to the right have been passed. Further up we cross the river on to Brown Tongue and continue up to find the split in the path with the left fork as the main route and the Mickledore branch to our right. Staying on the main path we continue to Hollow Stones. There are wonderful views back down to Wast Water all the way up Once past Hollow Stones we turn and start the steeper ascent to the top. This section ascents around 200m before leveling off. The trig point and top come into sight and once we’ve summited the highest peak in England we turn back to follow the same route down Passing Lingmell on the way down, Wast Water comes into view once again so we can enjoy the rugged beauty of this volcanic landscape The path is steady and stable on the lower section and we are soon down to the car park once again.
