Behringer WAVE vs Waldorf M // Doing the PPG Thing

  / starskycarr   The wonderfully characterful Waldorf M up against the *Behringer WAVE*. The Waldorf is the latest incarnation of the Microwave range, but has an 8 bit mode and all the PPG factory presets. Its filter is also more aligned to the PPG than the OG Microwave as its a descendent of the SSM filter of the PPG. Given its price its possibly a more valid comparison with the Behringer WAVE than the 3rd Wave. It stick more to the principles of the Microwaves/PPG although it has VA oscillators, a supersaw, braids oscillators, an additional unbelievably flexible digital filter (it reminds me of my Microwave XT), it's multitimbral .... plus it has all of those envelopes, 2xLFOs etc .
