Backpacking Isle Royale National Park || May 2021

#IsleRoyale # Backpacking #GoPro Finally! After rescheduling this trip 3 times, we finally stepped foot on Isle Royale and completed a 4 Day Backpacking Trip around the Northern Tip of the island. While we did not see any Moose or Wolves but the Beavers were busy dropping logs all over the trails! While the forecast called for rain all 4 days, Lake Superior came in clutch and blessed us with 4 days of sunshine! It was everyone's first time on the island...but it will not be the last. Check out the itinerary below! Day 1: Check In at Copper Harbor 3.5 Hour Ferry Ride to Rock Harbor (Get there early so you get a seat!) 6.5 Mile Hike to Lane Cove Day 2: We were hoping for a 10mile day, but after being up for 36 hours and hiking 6.5 miles the day before, we decided to alter the course for the trip 7 Mike Hike from Lane Cove to Daisey Farm with a stop at the overlook tower Day 3: Our Shelter faced the lake and the cold night breeze was tough to sleep through! We got a late start after breakfast and hiked 4.2 miles to 3 Mile Day 4: We took our time as we ventured the 2.7 miles back to Rock Harbor We got in line early to make sure we got a seat on the ferry this time around. After 3 hour ferry ride, we were back in Copper Harbor and on the road home Day 5: At Work with trail fever, already planning for the next adventure. Stay tuned!! Music Credit: bensound.com
