Come to Me - from the 1985 original horror flick "Fright Night". This version is based on the actual film version which is impossible to get and seems as if it was never released on the original soundtrack (that is the version that contains the female "Ahh" chorus vocals). The original song was produced by Brad Fiedel (who also did the "Terminator" theme). The released movie soundtrack contained Fiedels original version with him actually singing on there, it seemed the producers got this changed to make it into an instrumental version with his singing replaced by an echoing female chorus. The theme of this song is used throughout the movie and is played in full during the scene when vampire Jerry Dandridge (Chris Sarandon) seduces Amy Peterson (Amanda Bearse). There is another release version of this song lurking around the internet which has Fiedels vocals removed but still does not contain the echoing female chorus. Back in the lovely 80s, the only way to get that at the time was by recording it onto a tape from VHS. Fright Night was fantastic comedy horror flick of its times (made by Tom Holland). starring Chris Sarandon and Roddy McDowall (who is also famous for playing Cornelius in the "Planet of the Apes" saga). Many of the 80s fans felt that the original was much better than the 2011 remake that starred Colin Farrell. It was impossible to match the true style, sounds and the leads used in the original song by Fiedel, but this is my best attempt after several tries using the limited sounds I had on my home computer system. One can keep on attempting to change certain elements of the production by using different synths but you get to a point where the obsession for perfection must stop.
