This video gives an overview about employee development. It illustrates how it is that people learn, what personal characteristics a person needs to develop. We illustrate the critical role of the job description in setting out what a person should be able to do and hence where they might need to develop their skills and knowledge. We go on to illustrate some tools for elaborating the gap between what employees can do and what their managers need them to be able to do - and hence where they need to develop.
