The problem was that the shank was too thick for my lathe, and as a result the center of the lathe's chuck, wasn't at the same height as the dremel's chuck was. One way, was to sand it down to the desired thickness, but then I remembered that I had an 8mm end mill cutter that could do the job on my lathe. I did it twice because I had to flip it over to take the other half of the shank as you will see on the video.
