The Apple M4 Macbook Air is faster and more impressive than I expected. I am a video editor, an Autocad user and I generally consider myself a "Power User" when it comes to computers. Somehow, Apple has managed to make their entry level laptop and now their slowest computer in the lineup, fast enough for me to work on full time. It IS still a Macbook Air, though, of course - so there is no SD card reader, there are only two thunderbolt ports and there is no fan, so it will thermal throttle if what you do with it is CPU or GPU intensive and sustained for a long time. Its not the best for gaming, only averaging 27fps on medium settings at 1080p on Shadow of the Tomb Raider. But you dont buy this computer for gaming.
