Quick test of the new-to-me Markbass Little Mark Tube 800 with a little melody I just learned and was messing with. Using the Ibanez EHB1005MS. Some have said that they don't notice much of a difference between the solid state and tube preamp sections. I do. I like it best on 100% tube. It feels like it compresses a little bit, smoothing out the tone, and maybe adding a little saturation. I like it. So far, I'm really liking this head. It has plenty of power and sounds great to me. I have the low and mid low frequencies down just a hair from middle, and the mid high and high frequencies up a little bit from middle. Master is 1/4 of the way up. Signal chain is bass ⇢ Dunlop volume pedal ⇢ Kokko compressor (off for test) ⇢ Line 6 HX Stomp ⇢ MBT800 ⇢ Mesa 2x10 cab The settings in the HX Stomp were for the old power amp. I need to make some major mods to the blocks in the Stomp, but it sounds rich right now. 💪🏽
