When I opened my room and walked it, I gasped and it really did take my breath away. So here's a vlog to share my entire experience with you and to tell you everything you need to know before you go book that water villa. IMPORTANT INFO. FOR THE MALDIVES: ➼ Fly to Male's Veluvana International Airport (Take a flight with layover so it's cheaper!) I booked mine on Bookinggo.com Approx cost (Rs 20 -25,000 return) ➼ Once you land, you will have visa on arrival as an Indian (Rs Docs required for visa - Passport, Return ticket, hotel booking voucher, Travel declaration form filled online ➼ For Maldives Visa Travel Declaration Visit- https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ethd ➼ You can buy a local sim from the airport since its hard to find any store at local islands (Rs 2700 for 17GB & Rs 4000 for 100GB) ➼ Don’t forget to convert Rs into USD in India itself. Local currency is Rufiyaa and can’t be converted anywhere in the world so best to convert INR to USD and use here ➼ Land in Male and board a ferry (Public ferry - Rs 82 one way, Private Ferry - Rs 1600 - 4000 one way) ➼ Do carry snacks and ready to eat meals in case you are a frequent / late night snacker.
