The first part in a series exploring historic and abandoned houses in Harrisburg Pennsylvania while we dig into the forgotten stories attached to these locations. This first part discusses the abandoned house on North 13th St., where Harrisburg City Detective Pat Taylor once lived. Patrick H. Taylor was born in Virginia but moved to Harrisburg, where he joined the Army Engineers in WWI. Taylor achieved the rank of Sgt., and returned to Harrisburg, becoming a Harrisburg Patrolman. Within a year he became a Detective and eventually retired as a Lt. Detective. Detective Taylor solved many major cases in Harrisburg during his service.
