I take a colourful autumnal cruise along the canal. My wildlife cams capture the WILD DEER as I take a walk to find sanctuary by sitting on a rock in the centre of a stream. I come across another narrowboat that just looks like mine! Sit back & get ready to relax, as I share with you MINDFUL MOMENTS of my daily life of living off grid on a narrowboat on a British the canal. MY STORY. I once lived in the fast lane of life, married for 26 years, with two children. Suddenly a few years ago, I lost my wife to cancer, for me, it was too much to bear, I became depressed and one morning I woke up in hospital, after attempting to take my own life. From that moment, and escaping the rat race, finding peace and tranquility on the canal, living on my canal boat, I've managed to turn my life around, get back on my feet, and now live life in the slow lane. In all the peace and stillness that I experience now, my happiness, self confidence and love has returned. As I'm inspired by nature myself, my purpose in life is to inspire others, by sharing my wonderful experiences. However dark life can get, light can always be found.
