Down the Garden Path with Ruth Goudy

Ruth is a gardening expert, writer, speaker, workshop host, author and meditation creator. Ruth and her husband, Paul, started a plant nursery in Suffolk in 2002. They built the nursery on an empty field, bought a second hand shed and initially opened at weekends. They were growing plants, potting up and weeding with their daughter in the pram beside them. Twenty years later they run a successful garden centre. Ruth loves the ‘hands on’ side of the work and believes that gardening and nature has a place in all our lives, so she enjoys the chance to share this via workshops, talks, writing and social media. Her blogs feature her research into folklore of plants and their healing properties. She loves sharing how to tend to plants and create a garden. But while doing this, she has discovered that with this connection with nature, flowers and the earth comes a better understanding of ourselves. Flowers provide a safe space to nurture our own physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
