Hey fellas! Nice to see you again. I know I tend to be late with uploads, but trust me—these videos take a lot of time and effort to make, especially with the tools and setup I have. First, I need to come up with a solid story, then figure out which animations and scenes work best. I still film everything using FRAPS—yeah, the classic—because it’s the only thing my old PC can handle without completely falling apart. After filming, I spend hours searching for the right dialogue that matches the scenes. I try to limit AI voiceovers because they’re not always expressive or reliable. Then comes editing—adding sound effects, music, and making sure everything fits together. Sounds simple, but on a very outdated system, even basic tasks can become pretty time-consuming. I’ve lost count of how many times the PC froze or lagged, or how many times I had to redo scenes from scratch. And of course, I add subtitles and animate them with the sound—because I know many of you don’t speak English as a first language, and I want everyone to enjoy the experience fully. Now, originally, I had a bigger story in mind. Ryder and Smoke were supposed to play a much larger role. The idea was that they’d be involved in CJ’s problem-solving journey from early on. But as I started working on it, I realized that too many characters would take the spotlight away from the bond between CJ, Tommy, and Claude. So I made the choice to focus more on those three and let them share the screen without outside interference—like in the Claude vs Water & Speaking video. It just made the story feel tighter and more personal. There were other parts I had to leave out too. The Balla fight was meant to have three stages, with the final one featuring a big armored vehicle, and CJ going full hero-mode by buying an RPG from the RE4 merchant (who I actually filmed a scene with!). But my PC just couldn’t handle it. I had to remove shadows, explosions, and reduce the draw distance—and even then, it still struggled. Still, despite all the challenges, I’m proud of how this came together. It wasn’t easy to build a full story around something as small as CJ not being able to climb a ladder, but somehow it worked.
