Looks like my audio at the beginning didn't make it in... the game is alright. Not better than Black Flag. Systems look like they are designed to keep you playing and playing. Acquiring resources from land is stupid. Need to find blueprints, get reputation to make them, which means you need to do the very boring quests. Just have me fight 10 ships for the quest, that's why I want to play the game. I don't want to sail around in a storm where the wind is rotating in front of me no matter where I go. Also, boarding is stupid and there's no melee/close quarters gun combat. Just a 5 second cutscene that is very jarring. Basically, like people have been saying for years, just copy Black Flag and make it multiplayer. It runs super well though on an RTX 3080 with max settings and global illumination, and looks super good. I guess that's where all the development went after they delayed it for 6 years.
