Penshurst is a historic hidden gem village in Kent, in the district of Sevenoaks situated between Tonbridge and Royal Tunbridge wells, so this week we’re taking a break from the usual seaside exploration and instead stepping back in time - I’m taking you on a 4K walking tour so you can see this picturesque wonder for yourself and see why it’s one of the best places to visit this summer. In this video I start at the edge of the village and walk along the streets, taking in the breathtaking Tudor-looking buildings and houses, the ancient St John the Baptist Church before exploring the Penshurst Estate – the main attraction! Penshurst Place is an iconic 14th century manor house once owned by King Henry VIII, surrounded with beautiful grounds and gardens, and a very popular filming location for TV and films. Afterwards, as always I have a well-earned pint and spot of lunch at the charming Bottle House Inn, a cosy 15th century pub just down the road. Surrounded with walking paths and country lanes, it’s a perfect place for walking routes or hiking to immerse yourself in the Kent countryside. This should be top of your list of places to go in Kent, so walk with me as we travel back in time and explore the village of Penshurst! If you don't know me already, my name is Jack and I'm exploring the UK and Europe, making travel vlogs as I go. I'd be so grateful for your support so please do 'like' the video, leave a comment and subscribe to the channel! #thingstodo #travelvlog #walkingtour #touristdestinations #placestogo #virtualwalk #4kwalk #holiday #kent #hiddengems #tourism #placestovisit #villagevlog
