Part 1: • Kool Rock-Ski on Drake, Beastie Boys, Acti... -------- In this clip, Kool Rock-Ski opened up about meeting fellow Fat Boys member Buffy the Human Beatbox when they were teenagers, and being so confused when he first heard Buffy beatboxing. Kool Rock-Ski explained that he was blown away that Buffy was making those sounds with his mouth, and he stated that he thought Buffy was "weird" at first. He then revealed that they had heard Doug E. Fresh's name, and they heard that he beatboxed, but they had never heard him until the "Beat Street" movie came out in 1984. Kool Rock-Ski then pointed out that The Fat Boys' first song, "Reality," came out before "Beat Street" and featured Buffy beatboxing. Kool Rock-Ski went on to speak about The Fat Boys originally being a group of five, and later being "The Disco Three," which consisted of Kool Rock-Ski, Prince Markie Dee, and Buffy the Human Beatbox. Kool Rock-Ski then detailed how the threesome won a talent contest sponsored by Coca-Cola, which came with a record deal. Inspired by Melle Mel's "The Message," the group released a song called "Reality," which Kool Rock-Ski said "sucked." He then spoke about Melle Mel's track, calling it one of the most important songs in music history.
