Strengthening Inclusive Education in Uganda! From 3rd – 6th February 2026, a significant capacity-building workshop on the Child Functioning Module – Teachers Version (CFM-TV) was successfully held at UNITE UNYAMA, Gulu City. The training, organized by the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) in partnership with UNICEF, brought together Education Officers in charge of Special Needs and EMIS Support Officers from the Western, Northern, and West Nile Regions. The workshop aimed at equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively support schools in identifying and collecting quality and reliable data on learners with special needs. Accurate data is critical in guiding planning, resource allocation, and policy implementation to ensure that no learner is left behind. Following this training, the participants will cascade the knowledge to education department staff, headteachers, and teachers, strengthening the capacity of schools to promote inclusive education for all learners — both with and without special needs. This initiative marks a strong step forward in building an education system that is equitable, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse learning needs of every child in Uganda. #InclusiveEducation #CFMTV #MoESUganda #UNICEF #EducationForAll #LeaveNoChildBehind
