Toxic positivity leads you to denial or minimization and invalidation of genuine human emotional experience. It is relatively normal for a victim to use toxic positivity to survive in an abusive environment. To have a confident and happy life, you should understand and accept your negative emotions and learned to navigate. Don’t be judgmental for not being positive. Don’t compare with social media and motivational cult leaders who spread toxic positivity and invalidate yourself.
