The driver was sent to hospital for treatment. Police ordered the suspect to stop after finding his vehicle licence expired since 2015. But the driver sped off, zigzagging along roads and later driving in the opposite direction of traffic. During the escape attempt, the vehicle also ran the red light three times, slammed into a bus, two private cars, two taxis and a police vehicle before being stopped by police gunfire. Officers say they found suspected burglary tools, including hammers, gloves and pliers, during a t car search. The suspect and his girlfriend, who was in the vehicle with a two-year-old child at the time, are said to have criminal records and triad backgrounds.
