The new Adidas Spezial Winterhill/Blondey has dropped! Plus an update on my latest Spezial trainers.

Adidas has always been the brand & my love for it has never wavered. Whether it was running about in a pair of Samba in the school playground kicking a tennis ball, or on the grass playing football wearing a pair of Copa Mundial, or even sporting a pair of Gazelle on a Friday night for the disco. Adidas has never been far away! Having sold my collection the first time round back in 2017, you could say i have once again been bitten by the three stripe bug. In fact that would an understatement! Amongst an army of blue boxes consisting of trainers i have also entered the world of vintage bags and bought several over the last few months. Im more than happy to show this ever growing collection in more detail if people wish. My main focus within the Adidas brand since i began collecting again however is the Spezial range. Ever since its first drop in Oct 2014 the Spezial line has grown and grown in popularity. The brain child of Adidas Spezial is three stripe die hard Gary Aspden. Aspden was the man behind the Adidas Spezial exhibition in Manchester in 2014. A celebration of all things adidas with over 600 pairs of collaborations, one-offs and rarities sourced from all over the world and from famous Adidas collectors. Adidas trainers from the collections of Aspden himself and other famous collectors such as Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown and Robert Brooks were used. Ever since then the Spezial line has grown and grown with seasonal releases twice a year of both footwear and clothing. A lot of the Spezial trainer releases are a nod or tribute to previous releases over the decades. And the clothing influenced by a lot of the casual terrace wear back in the 70's, 80's or 90's. Most recently as the Spezial line has grown in popularity there have been trainer or clothing collaborations with both Liam & Noel Gallagher, New Order, and Peter Saville amongst others. Plus many, many other celebrities from the music industry, acting, or sportsmen endorsing the Spezial line. You could say it has caught on quite well over the last 9 years! Anyway here is a video of my Adidas trainer collection this time round since i began buying again last year. I do have some regrets from selling back in 2017 but im hoping that i can somehow get some of those grails back and discover some new favourites which i never managed to get first time round. I have already began that process! Please feel free to comment and make any suggestions.
