Dying Light is a 2015 survival horror video game developed by Polish video game developer Techland and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game revolves around an undercover operative sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a fictional city. It features a zombie-infested, open-world metropolis with a dynamic day and night cycle. It was originally planned to release in 2014, but was pushed back to 2015. The game is mostly melee-based with the majority of fighting using melee weapons. There are more than 100 weapons that can be used and more when players begin crafting new weapons.Online multiplayer features up to 4 players in the co-op mode.[8] The game offers an asymmetrical multiplayer feature.[9] There's a game mode known as "Be the Zombie" that allows the player to play as a zombie and join other players' worlds. At EGX 2014, lead game designer Maciej Binkowski revealed that there will be challenges throughout the world for players to engage in for experience.
