Founded in 1951, Camp Robindel for Girls is a 7-week premiere traditional overnight camp located on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonboro, New Hampshire. The camp offers a mix of sports, waterfront, equestrian, arts, and individual activities taught by mature instructors. The camps facilities are top-notch and meticulously maintained. With a large focus on community and friendship building, Robindel campers feel a sense of comfort the moment they get to camp. While most campers come from Jewish homes, Robindel is a non-sectarian camp that encourages all religions to consider the camp. To promote a unified community, all campers are required to wear blue and white during camp. Rooted in decades of tradition, popular events at Robindel consist of a Blue and White Sing, Sunday Blue and White Games including apaches and track meets, Sunday night campfires, Tuesday all camp cookouts, and the ceremonial tree planting by the oldest campers. Whatever the event or activity, girls old and young share and cherish the Robindel traditional experience. Program Description Camp Robindels program is a combination of structured and free-choice activities. The number of elective periods depends on the campers age younger campers get one period daily, intermediate (11-12) campers get two, and senior campers get three, four or five. The remaining activities are pre-scheduled and the entire cabin (often accompanied by another group) attends the same activity. Camp Robindel takes advantage of the beautiful surrounding New England area with off-site day and overnight trips. Campers can go on canoe trips, beach visits, white water rafting, and more. The length and location of off-camp trips depends on the campers age. To help new and younger campers feel more comfortable, every girl is assigned 4 older "Big Sisters. One is in charge of the new/younger camper as they travel to camp. The relationship is made during the springtime so that every girl arrives at camp knowing at least two other campers. The camp sisters program makes the camp adjustment period smoother and more comfortable for many campers.
