I made the Sirocco Jumpsuit from Deer and Doe patterns with the hope of trying a new style and in RED. As is, it fits like it should and original design but is unwearable for my aesthetics (too much volume at the front due to the pleats). I really can’t get past how bad I feel with the pleats. Well, what a fail! I will make this one into a dress easily. What a sewing fail means to me: I am an experienced seamstress and my fails are related to style fails. The patterns fit and look as they should but they do not suit me and I feel bad in them, hence they are unwerabale. Not due to a sewing mistake as such. Sirocco Jumpsuit by Deer and Doe. You can read me review on patternreview https://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My specifics: Stretch poly crepe with 50% stretch Size 46 blended to 48 waist and back to 46 hips Increased coverage of the crossover front bodice Eliminated the pockets Lined the waistband Lengthened the shorts to above the knee and widened the legs Modified the crotch front and back ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Up close and SEW personal includes: Modification to front bodice to avoid showing cleavage Modifying and raising the armscye for sleeves Economical layout Modifying length and shape of the short’s version Lining the waistband All the pleats!
