Ingredients: For pastry crust 100 g unsalted butter 60 g sour cream 4 yolks 50g sugar 250 g flour 1 tsp vanilla sugar 10 g baking powder lemon zest (from 1 lemon) a pinch of salt For the filling 4-5 apples 2 tbsp sugar 2 tsp corn starch For meringue topping 4 egg whites, at room temperature 150 g sugar a pinch of salt 1. Room temperature butter mix with salt, sugar, vanilla sugar and yolks. Sift the flour and baking powder. Add lemon zest. Mixing until the dough just comes together. Wrap dough in plastic foil and put in the fridge for at least 30 min before rolling. 2. Heat up the oven at 300F (180C). Spread the dough in the baking pan, making the sides. 3. Apples mix with corn starch and spread on the dough and sprinkle with sugar. Baking in preheated oven for 30 min. 4. While the base is baking in the oven, prepare the meringue. Whip the egg whites with sugar and a pinch of salt until the whites hold a medium peak. 5. Take based out of the oven and immediately spread the meringue on top. Bake for another 15-20 min at the same heat. Cool the pie completely to room temperature before chilling for at least 2 hours. 📌 Thanks for watching my videos!
