As you may know, America's alert system, the Emergency Alert System (EAS), is old and unnecessarily frightening. Japan's Earthquake Early Warning System is much more modern, and delivers more information in a calm and collective way, while still being able to grab your attention. This video shows how Japan's EEW would be used in the United States. This specific situation is based off the 2019 Ridgecrest, CA earthquakes.
