Start by inserting the ferrule over the outer jacket of the cable. Then, using your cable stripper, strip back the outer jacket and dielectric. The advantage of using a cable stripper is that it will strip back the jacket and dielectric at the same time. Pull back the braided shield and insert the connector housing onto the cable. Make sure that the center conductor reaches the well inside of the base of the connector. Then solder the center conductor to the solder well. Slide up the ferrule to the base of the connector, folding the shield with it. Crimp the ferrule onto the outer jacket to complete termination.
