Make sure to adjust quality to 1080p60 before watching Get excited for a lovely hike with the ultimate view at the top. This one is in my hometown area and overlooks the stunning Megunticook Lake. It holds a special place in my heart as I grew up doing this trail with family and friends, and I make sure to do it at least once every time I make it home. It's super short, as it's only 1.7 miles, but it's pretty steep. There are two options on the trail. I typically keep left and just go straight up, but the trail forks and if you go to the right at the sign it's called the 'scenic route' but it's about the same length both directions. The trail is super clearly marked as I show in the video, so anyone can follow it easily. Make sure to have some battery left on your camera / phone for lots of photos at the top! You will certainly want to capture this view. There's lots of shade on the way up, you are covered by trees and don't really see the sun until you get to the lookout at the top. It can get super buggy though, so consider wearing bug spray. Dogs are allowed on leash.
