“THE PROBLEM” Insurance is essential for the society, especially in today's complex environment of many emerging risks. Unfortunately, in spite of its importance, it has an image problem and the penetration in society is very low globally. Additionally, recently we discovered something very important through neuroscience research and now we know why people hate thinking about future risks and don’t decide how to mitigate them. There are at least 6 brain defence mechanisms that make brain either over- optimistic or freeze from fear. As a result, people think - "this is not going to happen to me or my company” or they don’t want to think of it or discuss about it. This makes the job for the insurance advisor to create the proper risk awareness and close the sale even harder. Furthermore, from the negative bias of the society for insurance advisors and the difficulty of people to understand and accept risk stems another big problem for the industry globally, the recruitment issue. Not many people choose the career of an insurance advisor because it is not deemed as a prestigious profession. Currently in the USA the average age of an insurance advisors is 58 years! This consists a serious recruitment problem and the profession is aging dangerously. Our mission in life is to “create” a new model of the insurance professional, “The insurable risk manager”, turning him into a true advisor rather than a transactional salesman. The solution We Invented two innovative software for insurance need analysis, by implementing the science of risk management, artificial intelligence and extensive neuroscience research on risk perception and decision making. The software received many innovation awards from significant organizations like MIT University (MIT Enterprise Forum), Chamber of industrialists in Cyprus, Europe start-up awards, and global "Get in the ring" contest. IFAAcademy also received an amazing award "TOP 50 LEADERS COMPANIES IN EDUCATION" globally from the international organization GFEL - Global Forum for Education And learning and also won the "Best Insurance & Finance Advisor Training Institute 2020" award in a competition held in London by the Corporate Vision member of AI Global Media. In 2020 also he received the prestigious global award "Top 25 InsurTech CEOs of 2020" from Technology Innovators Media.
