Info on why I chose 5k bulbs vs 6k, as told to me by the Morimoto representative: When it comes to Kelvin temperatures, there is a slight difference in brightness but the biggest thing here is color temperature. Default, I recommend 5,000K for most people. 5,000K is in the perfect range of white - it is a pure white but won't have any blue tones. 6,000K steps up in color temperature and starts to introduce some blue tones into the light. In inclement weather, this could be seen as a disadvantage. Blue and purple tend to reflect light, whereas yellows and neutral whites will cut through more light. In the end, the decision can be made purely on preference. Both 5,000K and 6,000K are going to be an upgrade over the OEM bulbs, so if you prefer a more true, bold white - just opt for the 6,000K!
